Construction of the new Santo 17 facility finished early this summer, and since then St. Vincent’s has gradually been transferring operations from their former location downtown. The residents were relocated in July, and everyone is hard at work getting ready for the new school year. The medical clinic and brace workshop will remain at their current location downtown.
The new property is completely surrounded by a security wall and includes boys’ & girls’ dorms, twelve classrooms, a music room/library, administrative offices, common living rooms, a chapel, and an infirmary. There is also ample room on the property for future development, including spaces for gardens and farm animals. A formal dedication of the new property will take place on October 16.
