A New Home For St. Vincent’s!

Dear friends,

After many years of planning and dreaming, we are pleased to announce that the new home for Saint Vincent’s Centre for Handicapped Children is nearly complete. It is located in the area of Santo 17 in Port-au-Prince. We could not have reached this important milestone without the prayers and support of so many wonderful people. Thank you for all you have done to make this a reality!

A dedication ceremony of the new facility is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8th at 10:30 am. Relocation will take place over the next few months, and we’ll begin the 2017-18 school year in the new location. A formal grand opening will take place in the fall.

We invite you to celebrate with us on March 8th, whether in person or in spirit. It has taken the work of many hands to help us reach this place. We ask for God’s continued blessing on the community of Saint Vincent. N’ap kanpe ansanm. We stand together.

Sincerely,

William S. Craddock, Jr.
Chairman, SVC Board of Directors

How You Can Help:

Many students and clinic patients are unable to pay for the services they receive at Saint Vincent’s Centre, so we depend heavily on the generosity of others to help us fulfill our mission. Ongoing financial support is needed to help provide food, water, classroom supplies, transportation, salaries, utilities, medicines and other items.

Here’s what your donation helps to provide.
$2: one meal per day per person
$3: consultation for brace or prosthetic
$12: one medical clinic consultation
$13: day school tuition for one month
$130: day school tuition for one year
$300: resident costs for one month
$1260: average salary for one year
$3600: resident costs for one year

Visionary donors are also needed to invest in the Centre’s future development. In addition to construction costs, funds are needed for relocation
expenses, furniture, supplies and other items to help the community
establish a new home.

We would be grateful if you would consider making a one-time or regular gift to support our work. You may click the “Donate” link athttp://stvincentshaiti.org to make a secure online donation or learn how to donate by mail.

If you have questions or would like more information about any aspect of the organization, please contact Jennifer Wickham, the Development Coordinator for Saint Vincent’s Centre. You may reach her at [email protected].
