The WTHP relies on the support and generosity of friends like you. As a collection of volunteers, nearly all of our funds go directly towards the health, mobility, and joy of the children of St. Vincent’s. This includes buying medicine and food, getting our doctors, nurses, and mission teams to Haiti, and providing tuition assistance for the kids.
You also have the option to donate to one of our Travel Funds, sponsored by churches in West Tennessee. St. Mary’s Cathedral in Memphis has created the Drew Woodruff Honorary Travel Fund in honor of The Rev. Drew Woodruff to support the cost of WTHP team members traveling to Haiti. Grace-St. Luke’s in Memphis has created a travel fund in honor of Dr. Bheki Khumalo to support travel of Grace-St. Luke’s parishioners on the team and Dr. Khumalo’s surgical medical expenses. It costs about $1300 per trip to buy a plane ticket and stay in the guest house for a week. Team members pay all their own expenses. Corrective orthopedic surgery costs $6,000 per child (including hospital, anesthesiology, medical supplies, and follow-up care).
Donations to the travel funds will be separate from donations to support the school itself, including purchases of food or medicine for the children. To designate your donation for the Woodruff or Khumalo Travel Fund, please make a note in the comment box below or on your check.
The West Tennessee Haiti Partnership is an agency of the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee, which is a 501(c)3 organization. Therefore all donations are tax-deductible.
